Daniela Droz
L'envers du visible
Through the lens of her camera, Daniela Droz captures a sensitive world of light and shadow. Continuing her research into light and optical effects, the Ticino artist composes her images using a subtle interplay of glass and mirrors to capture the movement of light and its impact on the perception of space.
In a labyrinth of sparkles, reflections, lines and surfaces, the artist “pierces” new openings in the historic rooms of the Castle of Gruyères, creating perspectives that give access to another dimension. With her photographs and installations, she creates immaterial windows in which she transcribes abstract landscapes that capture the passage of time and offer space for the imagination.

Daniela Droz
La photographe et plasticienne Daniela Droz (1982) est née et a grandi au Tessin. Marquée par la nature de sa vallée de la Léventine natale, elle décide à 19 ans de prendre le chemin de la photographie et de suivre une formation à l’Ecole cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL).
Depuis l’obtention de son Bachelor en 2008, l’artiste a poursuivi une importante activité de photographe indépendante (revues spécialisées, design, mode) et d’enseignement à l’ECAL. Son travail artistique (photographies, installations, sculptures et design) a, à de nombreuses occasions, été présenté en Suisse et à l’étranger dans le cadre d’expositions personnelles ou collectives, dont Miroir Miroir au mudac à Lausanne (2017).
