The artist duo Barbezat-Villetard are taking Gruyères Castle by storm with a spectacular installation created especially for the site. The Franco-Hellenic collective's intervention takes us into a spatial and temporal experience that changes our perception of the former residence of the counts. Taking advantage of the castle's century-old architecture and interpreting its historic spaces, the artists reveal an ephemeral and sensitive field of possibilities, in which the spectator is an actor in his or her own right.

The intention in inviting Barbezat-Villetard to Gruyères Castle was not only to provide an exceptional showcase for their work, but also to create an extraordinary experience for visitors. With their installation, which is both minimal and monumental, the artists have succeeded in creating that special sensation where work, place and viewers together create a unique moment.
