David Gagnebin-de Bons
Index du fantographe
Like a science-fiction writer, David Gagnebin-de Bons uses effects and tricks to reveal a fascinating world that is both tangible and strange. Blending the dreamlike, the everyday and the fruits of chance, he virtuosically creates photographic illusions that invoke literature, his sensitive experiences, his dreams and his research into the production of images.
His works are always the result of an encounter. An insignificant object found by chance, a paragraph in a novel, a nocturnal chimera - these are the starting points for the series of works that the photographer is presenting for the first time at the Castle of Gruyères. Composing - or recomposing - his images like a sculptor, David Gagnebin-de Bons takes us on a journey through his stories of seeing, encountering the marvels that populate his universe.
